what we believe

We believe that there is only one God, eternal in existence and triune in his manifestation being three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1 Tim. 3:16; 1 John 5:7)

We believe that the Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired, inerrant and infallible authoritative written word of God (John 1:14; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 John 2:5-6)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our savior and Lord having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. His shed blood and death on the cross provided the complete and final sacrifice for our sins. We were thereby redeemed, sanctified and justified (Luke 3:21-22; Rom. 5:9-11; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 2:5-11; Col. 2:9; Rev. 12:11)

We believe that Jesus arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where he now sits at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate (John 20:1-18; Acts 3:12-26; 1 Cor.15:12-28; Heb. 9:24)

We believe in the personal, visible and imminent return and reign of Jesus Christ in accordance with the scriptures (1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:50-55)

We believe in the baptism of and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for all believers (John 14:17, 14:26; Acts 2:4; Eph.5:18-21)

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but fell as a result of sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation be obtained (Gen. 1:26-28, 3:1-10; 1 Cor. 12:13)

We believe that there will be a resurrection of all dead: of the believer to everlasting life with God in heaven, and of the unbeliever to judgment and eternal punishment in hell (Rev. 19:19-20, 20:1-6)

We believe that water baptism and Holy Communion are ordinances that the church should observe as public declarations of salvation through Jesus Christ in commemoration of His death, burial and resurrection in victory over Satan, death, and the grave (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:3-6; Col. 2:11-14)

We believe that Spiritual Gifts are given for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry and the edification of the body of Christ (Acts 5:16; 1 Cor. 12:1-11)

We believe that all believers are called to make disciples in obedience to the Great Commission (Matt 28:19; Mark 16:15-18)
